Bed was clean and comfortable, food was served to 10pm and breakfast started at 7am that was great, staff were really nice and the place hand a relaxing fun environment to it. I would definitely stay there again.

the best hostel in San Jose by far! it’s pricey but the rooms are so good it makes the high cost worth it. if you want to stay somewhere with privacy and comfort then this it the place to be! the curtains on the beds are something rare in Central America and they are perfect after a long journey. the food is fantastic but a main and a drink cost almost the same as my room for the night. the staff are amazing and so helpful, it was so good to see a security guard on duty during the night as many hostels in Costa Rica don’t have one. I have already booked to stay again as I felt so safe in a city known for being unsafe.

I was based in a female only two double-berth bunk-bed room. Two of the females were travelling together. The other was from a different country to my own, but could converse with me well in English. We became good friends throughout our stay for the duration of our time together, sharing experiences and photos taken on our days' excursions, so as to inform one another what was and was not worth doing with our time within the city. I loved the fact that you could claim some privacy for yourself with thick, blackout curtains which you could draw around the bed, your own personal bedside lamp and a wooden cupboard above the mattress to put things in for easy accessibility. It was great having an ensuite bathroom connected with the room. It was well ventilated and adequately quiet for a good night's sleep. The mattress was very comfortable and the bedding suitable. There was a very attractive web-based and extensive food menu. As a vegan/vegetarian there was plenty enough choice available for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. The prices were reasonable and the presentation just beautiful. There were a range of areas where you could take roost for whatever activity engaged you, whether reading, listening to the live music, engaging with friends or eating. It is an attractive, inspiring, colourful, creative and youthful place.

We stayed there three times each one night and we met so amazing people. The staff was very friendly, especially Mairon! The rooms were good and also the common kitchen was big enough and had many utensils to cook with. Would recommend it to everyone who wants to connect to new people, but even if you want a private room you get one for a reasonable amount of money. Also the shuttles were super easy to book from the hostel.

Excellent storage options and plenty of places to charge your stuff,including within the locker. Decent location would definitely come back. Amazing restaurant too! Also shout out to the cleaning lady she’s lovely and very considerate
